Already tried this. I saw on YouTube that you should take a piece of paper and alcohol, fold it twice and use it to clean the cartridge but it didn’t work as well.

This actually just happened with my copy of Omega Ruby. The thing is clean as it was the day I got it, but my 3DS doesn't register that it's there, and I tried cleaning it and what not.

Thankfully I had my living dex from that point transferred up to gen7. Anyways, I hope you can get yours working.

Shit I just realized that my current isopropyl has a lower dilute % than even iFixit would recommend. But it is literally is just 90%+ isopropyl for cleaning. There's not some epic gamer branded alcohol.

It is about taking care of a precise electronic piece. regular alcohol has water as well, and that might contain salts, so sometimes it might be better to use water that has no salt at all (distilled). However if one is a fucking retard, he won't be sure to clean the thing and make sure it dries completely before plugging it or in this case, reinserting the card. Which btw, might make it work for a little while, but it will have more issues on the long run eventually.
