>>49435275>online experienceNot once in 26 years of this series have I wanted to battle other people, and not once in the 16 years the series has had online have I given a shit about playing it online. The only online I have played in Pokémon was Raid Battles in SwSh because you were kind of forced to if you wanted to get some G-max shit before the DLC released.
This series has *always* been strictly playing through the main plot and then finishing the Pokédex, and even that I'd only do once per generation, due to the increasing size, so many games ended at "I beat the E4, did the post game and some extra" or "I have all 386-493-etc".
No online, no EV training, no shiny hunting. Still ended up with at least 100-200 hours per game with the exception of Let's Go because the only thing to do after some optional fights & Pokedex is battling those master trainers and I did not given enough of a shit to even do enough to battle Red and just settled.
So yes. I'm perfectly happy with a game that focuses on literally the only two things I did in these games (a basic story and a Pokedex). Then when I'm done, I'll move onto the next game in my backlog and never touch it again like every other game, even if I love it.
Also, LGPE has an abysmal catching system and you don't fight the wild Pokemon. That's not even remotely comparable to how the gameplay loop works in PLA where you *can* battle and catching doesn't require motion controls and a hopping Pokémon or some dumb shit like that.
