>Grit system instead of EVs/IVs>True open world, meaning there are plenty of objectives to progress the story and the agency is given to the player to do them freely>Overworld catching, it adds a whole different layer to the gameplay that breaks the pace from battles>Rebalancing the status effects and moves so that everything works nicely rather than one or two types of moves being overcentralizing>Visible size modifiers (doesn't need to be totem/alpha tier, just a 0.x difference based on the growth scale that's already shown for height/weight.>Vibrant colors and artstyle. So much better than the muddy/plastic garbage the rest of Gen 8 has.>Has as many version differences from gameplay choices as selling them separately as different gamesImprove:
>Lazy/half-assed implementation of regional formsQwilfish/Zorua do it right. Everything else either didn't go the full mile with the prevos or didn't take advantage of the opportunity it can provide like H-Sneasel.
>Pokeride being arbitrarily given to the player as a generic instance. It's far better than Alola's pokeride but at the same time it would be better to get to choose between a couple of mons or only have the generic one be a default if you don't have your own to use. Also, Stoutland/Ursaluna do nothing but put a wedge in the game's pacing and they aren't fun to use. Give us a real dowsing machine like Gen 5/6.
>Lack of real dungeonsAnother issue stemming from Gen 7. Snowpoint Temple was good but at the same time it wouldn't have killed them to actually include a majority of the dungeons to pad out gameplay in a way that's engaging. Ever since Alola the entire "dungeon" thing consists of just a straight like or two with a sidepath and some roadblocks. That's not fun.
Aside from these, Legends is definitely the most good game since ORAS and the best one since BW2. I hope it doesn't flop.
