I feel this. I think I prefer Blastoise but I really like Wartortle and he sticks out like a sore thumb in between Squirtle and Blastoise.

Maybe one day Wartortle will get a split evo. It sounds unconventional, but Gen 7 gave evos to Legendaries and PLA is giving regional variants to final starter evos.
