My only doubt is then on the Basculegion guy, and Sebi. Altought if the idea that Palina is the 5th gen bug gym leader ancestor is true, it's possible that the guy is the ancestor to Lavenza

we're missing some E4, some gym leaders, some battle frontiers guys. Either there wasn't space where to put them, or they're saving them for dlc. It's kinda surprising that Barry, the rival, or his father, a BF admin, didn't get an ancestor. But since we're missing the top right island of Sinnoh... maybe they'll appear there?

It could be. The island seems a tiny bit too small for that, but it may be just due to difference in geography. From old Sinnoh map tought the island was quite massive (as big as the upper part/snow zone). Also they moved both Cresselia and Darkrai, and turnback cave is found there, so... no idea.

The way Palina carries around her goggles reminds me of Viola as well as the butterfly motif she has with her headscarf. She also somewhat looks like Peony's wife.

Imo, it's just funny the whole ass right top island is missing both from game art, and map. While firespit is still there. The other explination I can come up is that the vulcano eventually erupts and connects to another piece of land, or becomes inactive and Etran moves

i'm surprised they didn't referenced Johto characters as much on this part with all the "Sinnoh and Johto are connected" stuff from HGSS, also Gen 1 ancestors as well.
Guess that means they want to save some of then if another Legends game gets made.
