>>49449032Parasect is usable in Kanto. Paras is a rather common encounter in Mt.Moon, 100% chance in the small transition areas in fact. It's not a great Pokémon but it evolves somewhat early at Level 24, and if you can hold it for a few levels ( 25 or 27 usually ), Paras will learn Spore, which is amazing.
Lickitung definitely comes too late though, i'll give you that. Yanma can sometimes show up somewhat early in the route above Goldenrod but even with really low standards it's really, really bad in GSC. Aipom is kinda the same with headbutt trees if you backtrack, definitely more of a Guide Pokémon more than anything, as in you'd have to know it's there in the trees before the Bug Gym Town. But early game it's okay, it hits decently hard and can get STAB Headbutt.
This thing doesnt appear in much to begin with but even in Pearl you need Surf before you can even access it and by the time do you really want a mediocre Normal type?
