You could catch almost all the missing pokemon from the national Dex, no PokeBank needed, the legendary hole schedules were kinda cool, spot pass for more portals was even cooler since everyone back at 2013-2016 carried a 3ds, I loved the Blissey Bases but the regular home bases were cool too, I loved not trading to evolve Feebas, it kept all the improvements that X and Y brought such as Hordes and Egg Moves/Balltism, etc
Truly salvaged an entire shit show of a generation, and made Gen 7 look like utter shit. Sure, wasn't as good as HGSS or B2W2 in terms of content at the endgame, but compared to the last 2 generations? It was the last one with any semblance of soul.
