I remember I had a run where all of our options led to pokemon that we weren't suited for, however one was a fire type, and a bot on my team has a Politoad (I think?) that had a strong ground and water attack, so I'm like, okay, this is the best option.

I absolutely adore this mode but i have to assume that everyone who plays it just sits there and allows the game to randomly choose a move for them, or they join and quit for some stupid reason so i'm left with retarded AI

Imagine doing this mode with randos and not friend(s). Me and a buddy duo'd it and got every legend. We only had to redo a couple, Kyogre and Lugia I believe. The rest were easy. It legitimately only takes two competent players and you'll have more fun that way anyway.

The friends who were excited about sword/shield and convinced me to return to pokemon are split into three; those who only have the base game, those who stopped playing the moment they completed the main and dlc stories, and those who didn’t complete the main story and bought both DLCs and never bothered playing them.

Weird thing is this never happened when the AI had an Aurorus as it would use Thunder Wave just once and then use attacking moves afterwards.

Another bullshit moment was the AI trading a Tyrantrum for something with a disadvantage when the legendary was Ho-Oh.
