I can emulate 3ds and wii in my pc without problems and I have16gb RAM, i5 with intel chipset. I also run AAA pc games no problem but somehow every switch game (even lgpe) runs slow. I get that its not easy and therefore more resources are required but still..

Tested Yuzu, performs and looks a lot better than Ryujinx. Sometimes the game freezes for about 5s and there is some graphic bugs.
But still is very playable.

If you can run at a solid 30fps, turn vsync on.
If not, turn it off and cap the framerate to 30 in your GPU control panel.

NSP or XCI doesn't matter, but NSP tends to have a smaller file size.

It's a decent game, but feels empty imo. Most quests feel like Skyrim's Radiant quests, aka "please bring me this", "defeat X and come back", "catch Y but big". I really feel this game should have more trainer battles.

I use Ryujinx and cap the frames on Nvidia Control Panel to 33 FPS. It feels smooth since it's a few frames higher than the default 30, yet doesn't run too fast since the game logic is tied to the frames.

Is there any easy way to set up a turbo button for controller? Ryujinx doesn't allow using both the controller and the keyboard at the same time. AutoHotKey was a no-go by not doing controllers and even JoyToKey failed me. Don't tell me I'm going to have to dust off the old GlovePIE again...

The fundamental difference between Ryujinx and Yuzu is that the former set out from the beginning to emulate original hardware as close as possible, while Yuzu just set out to make games playable without trying to actually emulate exactly how the Switch works and what it does. It's why Ryujinx now fully supports a lot of the modding tools/platforms that relied on specific quirks or exploits on the original Switch while Yuzu will likely never be able to fully support those tools because it's not even replicating any of the behavior those tools use to function in the first place.

What this means in practical terms is that Yuzu was ahead of Ryujinx in performance early on and got a lot of popularity because OH LOOK BOTW ON PC because they only prioritized making games playable above all else, while Ryujinx struggled in performance early on because it was trying to set the foundation of emulating the behavior of the Switch as close as possible and now functions lightyears ahead of Yuzu in stability because they took the time to set that foundation from the start.

Yuzu is a patchwork mess trying to make up for extremely poor development decisions and short-term thinking.

Which is fine, until a year or two from now where one of their patchwork "fixes" for a new release breaks an older game because the entire thing is just a series of band-aids. I used to have to keep multiple specific builds of Yuzu on my machine just because one build would work properly with one game while a later build would turn around and break it in favor of whatever was the new flavor of the month for that release.

I think you were right, I'm not crashing anymore on Ryujinx 1.1.11.

My FPS dips in different spots than before, especially during battles. I'll mess with my options in Nvidia Control Panel and try Ryujinx in 4:3 resolution or Undocked to see if I can get a stable FPS.

I'm using one of the more powerful GTX 960's. I get pretty solid performance in other Switch games usually. I've seen a few people here saying they're getting really good FPS in Legends Arceus, while I usually manage 20 in more crowded areas and when I'm just starting up the game, and then 30 once it's been running for a bit.

Am I missing certain settings or something?

Ironically enough, I found it kind of funny because I'm on my old 960 due to my 5700xt starting to shit the bed. I'm likely only playing this because my better AMD GPU started having issues. CPU is pretty powerful and modern though, so that's nice to hear.

I got the shaders downloaded a while ago which definitely helped with performance, but I'm getting about 18 FPS around the big Kleavor tree it seems.

While writing this post I started messing around with settings more, and apparently I still had certain settings enabled from when the game first leaked that made the Ryujinx more stable when it kept crashing. Turning this setting back made the game run faster; I just forgot about it. I realize this post became kind of pointless but I'm just making it now as a reminder to check these settings if you're still getting slow performance and you were part of the early leak crew.

I have this too to the point where my character was walking around without me doing anything and my controller works fine everywhere else. I just stuck the deadzone up to 0.30. I hope they fix it soon if it's a common thing.

Are you using the Vulkan build for some reason? You should use the regular one on Nvidia. Just get the latest from the website and use the autoupdater, there's no reason to not stay updated since all they do is fix stuff.

The latest Yuzu build runs at a consistent 30 no matter what. But crashes at every opportunity. I can't even get past the title screen after loading into the game.

Ryujinex works fine, no crashes at all, but runs at 15 fps and it drives me insane. I've messes around in the setting and still can't come across a fix. Any help?

You won't know until you try, there's no "better" emulator, it depends on your specific hardware combination.
Try both and see which gets you better FPS and less stuttering (or none).

Yuzu or Ryujinx? I've had it happen a few times with Ryujinx, and restarting always fixes it.

Everything else is default. Just vanilla 2440 with API set to Vulkan, that's literally the config.

That's just how the game plays, anon. Even on the switch.
You could always unlock the fps by turning off vsync or hitting tab if you feel like playing in fast forward at a higher framerate.
