I’ve played both and they both prove Japanese can’t into open environments because holy hell did they both have the most painfully boring game ruining reused asset environments. Genuinely shameful that those two games came out in 2021/22. Just completely backwards with nothing else to show for it. You can’t find the budget anywhere else in the games. If nothing else Legends was interesting for trying something new with the formula even if it feels like a tech demo. SMTV was just bad. I’ve played and beaten multiple SMT games and have no idea how the fans delude themselves into thinking they’re better than any other franchise
