>>49464133NTA but it's the first time they smash Safari Zone style mechanics together with anime-style "just throw ball lol" stuff they keep pushing.
I'll say the game has mad potential. Too few trainer fights, you hardly need a good team. Buffing moves and setups got nerfed to irrelevancy and are now a liability. The turn order thing baffles my mind in how inconsistent it is, enjoy three quick attacks into a strong style giga impact if you DARE to try strong style in important fights.
The open world feels repetitive, although it gets better later when there's a HINT of dungeon thrown in. The ending is a fucking joke, and the lead-up should've been round two of missions in the same areas with some irregular mons or something.
Alphas should be randomized, now it's just carefully placed mid-bosses sprinkled in which if you attempt to fight them and pull off a win which shouldn't happen due to getting swept you overlevel to shit and one-shot all the story bosses.
Also, seriously what was GF thinking to just let random mons invade fights making them 2-5 on one? Trainer fights even. You can NOT get a clean fight in this game unless you have bullshit luck.
And I know it's asking much but GF, for fucks sake, we had pokemon interacting in varied environments on the N64 in pokemon Snap 15ish years ago, how can you shit out a game in which they just stand around?
Was it so hard to let a partner follow you around or goof off randomly after letting it out and define a "stay" command for photos?
