I enjoyed Xenoblade 2 way more than i enjoyed PLA and many other games with higher metascore.

That's because it is how game journalists actually rate games.
Look at what games actually get a 4/10 and it's all absolute garbage, not mediocre as the score should suggest.

And it's not an internet thing, it's a game thing. Music and movies are not affected the same way.

THIS, I'm not mad that they gave Legends a 7, in the grand scheme of things it might be deserving of it, but compared to fucking BDSP and SWSH? It blows them out of the fucking water, why does the pokemon bonus apply to these fucking abysmal games and not Legends? Do they feel like because Gamefreak actually tried something for once that now they don't have to pretend anymore? Like has IGN just been jingling keys in front of pokemon fans making them happy with high scores when they know in comparison to other games they're fucking trash?

If PLA had normal turn based combat for trainer battles it would be a way better game and you would be able to have real battle facilities and online battles.
The reason tha game can't have those is because the CBT is awful. Thank god there are only few battles and they are easy anyway

I don’t really give a fuck about reviews but I hate when they knock down points off the score because they are fixated on one particular element of the game, in this case being the graphics. I just spent nearly 5 hours on this game and didn’t even realize it, and I haven’t even fought Kleavor yet.

The game doesn’t need to look like every other open world Switch game to be good.
