>>49470147I think it's kind of intended to keep pokemon around until you finish their pokedex entry (and maybe evolve them for the next entry) before swapping them out with newer pokemon. Gone are the days of making your static team, now the most optimal (and maybe fun, depending on what you want) path is constantly tweaking and changing your team.
Just imagine it's Botw, except instead of durability for weapons you have usefulness for pokemon. You gotta be ready to hotswap, don't get too attached to anything
