If someone has been playing from the start, Fairy is the only typing that requires any thought. You can brute force your way through every Gen.
As for National Dex, that's a you problem. When Home came out, Bank was free for a short period, and 1 month is only $3. So for $3 you were able to move everything up and then dumb any available Pokemon into Sword or Shield. Until stated otherwise, unlike Bank, Home doesn't threaten to delete your storage after inactivity so you can either not pay again if you moved what you wanted already or just pay another $3 when support is added for something else.
If you're a National Dexfag there's absolutely no reason to have spent $45+ for 3 years when you could have just paid ~$6 and then another $3 this year when it finally updates for BDSP and PLA.
OR pay nothing and stop worrying about it, keep your Pokémon in whatever 3DS game.
