No idea. They're badly designed and look rushed too. I think a part of that as well is that there seems to be no textures in PLA making everything look worse.

20 years from now they'll retcon them into 'corrupted origin forme' and put a properly designed version in whatever the game will be at the time and those "true" origin formes will only exist in that game.

Also they fucked up by even giving them origin formes when the right decision clearly would have been to give them a fusion form.

Both are obviously them trying to recycle existing assets so they don't need to make entirely new models. Palkia's lower body was ripped straight from Glastrier and Dialga's front legs were ripped from Metagross.
