you're gonna be there for a while, as a shiny hunter myself gen 6th is the best, dexnav in ORAS or measuda method in XY is the only way to go

i got my first and only random shiny while playing sapphire at release. amazing feeling to just rush through the grass to get somewhere and then a shiny popping up. still got that thing, transported it over to home. hoenn will always be special to me. good luck on your active search for ralts.

I'm going to EV train them, transfer them to pokemon colosseum, and start getting all the ribbons in gen 3. Then I'll get all the ribbons in gen 4, and so on, until they have every possible ribbon from every gen.

You got a long but fulfilling journey ahead of you then. As far as the ribbons go, that means all the contest ones from all ranks too right? Is that even possible with the limited amount of block you can feed them in gen 3?

It's possible. I believe that using the gamecube games gives you higher quality berries to use (haven't looked up the pokeblock stuff in a while so could be wrong) and combining that with the various scarf items and the right moves I should be able to win all the contests on one pokemon. You don't need perfect stats to win.
