Maybe they put this in as a way of indicating that humans copied this shape in their own technology and modeled it after Pokemon like that

biomimicry is a thing, we learn from animal functions and implement it in human tech
also hermits hide in shells and will fight each other over them and narwhals might use their bigass tusk to break ice so thats kinda similar to the plow thing
