>>49476626What I'm about to say is probably very controversial, but particularly, I wouldn't mind a Pokémon game where battling as a whole was optional, i.e. a game where the player can choose a "trainer class" or something, like:
>Classic Pokémon TrainerWhat we do now;
>RangerI don't know how the Pokémon Rangers games played like, and it would probably need a myriad of random events, but still, protecting wild Pokémon;
>Coordinator (was that the name?)I'm sure quite a few people liked contests, so being able to focus on them instead of them being a side thing would be nice (although, to do pretty moves and combinations like the anime, new animations would be necessary, and considering how long it took to get turning animations, that would be difficult);
>ArcheologistFind and explore ruins and such, using your Pokémon to help solve puzzles and stuff;
>Detective/Special Agent of the International PoliceJust go after some bad guys, maybe use the Kuzunoha Raidou games as a base on how to use the Pokémon to help on the investigations;
>None/FreeJust get some Pokémon and walk around appreciating some "scenery porn" without needing to worry about any kind of progression.
. . .
Such scope would probably be too great for anyone to make, not just GameFreak, but that would be the closest to my ideal game.
>>49476854>bicycleAs long as it's not the only option. I hate LGPE, but the one thing I envy from it is how the player can ride any of their Pokémon (that makes sense), how they can ride *THEIR OWN* Pokémon, and how there's no out of place protective gear being summoned or placed on the Pokémon.
