I can't say I care for the new speed mechanics.
Game is great, but next time I'd honestly prefer the tried and true system.

I don't even play multiplayer battles.
The turn order system just overcomplicates the whole thing.

Bait aside, there is an honest issue with the new battle system. There's no more strategy to it anymore, it's just a reactionary slugfest. You throw a pokemon in, you kill theirs, they kill yours in retaliation, you kill theirs, repeat until you either don't OHKO them or you run out of team members. Even what you're poking fun at, setting up, is a strategy, and there's just none of that now that everything is temporary and trying to set up is just wasting a turn.
