Anyways on the off chance that gen 9 has all the Pokémon in the games' code how should celebrate? Raid r/Pokemoncirclejerk? Twitter screencap threads making fun of shills? Individual threads on catching and trading each individual Pokémon from day 1 Bulbasaur onwards?

It will literally NEVER EVER come back, but I admire your hope. They said it was a design decision along with a development decision. It would ruin the incentive of subscribing to Home, and reduce the appeal of buying more games to play with different kinds of pokemon. And they're only adding more and more so it just doesn't make business sense; SWSH sold the most games since GS didn't they?

Why? Because Gamefreak loves patting themselves on the back for bringing back things they cut for no reason several generations ago ( usually to once again rip them away the very next game )
And there will be a huge uptick in pokemon home subscriptions as people scramble to import their pokemon onto their new game. Just according to keikakku.

If that Pokemon Stadium game gets announced you can say goodbye to future titles having the complete dex unless they do some huge anniversary game down the line because said stadium game would address two things
