Then you clearly didn't play th3 game or you're blind. It pretty much teleports a couple steps because the mountain and slope collision are so bad. The fact that the player can walk up slopes they shouldn't and pretty much levitate up certain spots also shows the collision is bad. This is shit that was barely acceptable in 2006.

The problem with SwSh isn't even that they're "the worst Pokémon games" or anything, it's that they were only slightly better than the games on an ancient weak as hell handheld despite being full price and on a console. I feel like people who have an over the top hatred for SwSh and call them the worst Pokémon games ever are just jumping on a bandwagon without knowing what the actual issues are. They're bad compared to what they should have been as the first console generation but they're certainly not worse than what came before.

You can't send out a Pokémon unless the Lord Pokémon is stunned. That means you still have to throw balms or wait for to do an action that stuns it, like running into the tree for Kleavor, self destructing for Electrode, or running into the mountain for Avalugg. Your Pokémon will always return automatically if the Lord isn't in a stunned state, even if you hit them with the Pokéball directly.

There's also a lot of slowdown in the Avalugg boss fights because it fires tons of attacks with big effects and the ice ball rain slows down the game considerably and makes dodging harder and the attacks are fired faster than you can recover and roll again.

XY was a huge launch. It was their first big leap away from sprites, and their first global release. It was also a-lot safer, since it basically plays like a traditional Pokemon game with some improvements here and there. Arceus is more experimental. It's innovative and way more impressive as a 3D title, but also feels like a proof of concept without much to the world.
