Would you like to see competitive multiplayer with the PLA battle system? Personally I don't see any reason it can't work. I would like to have abilities back for it though.

The best thing about the PLA system is that it completely eliminates all this autism. I want abilities back and maybe strong/agile style would have to go for comp but otherwise I like this system and want to see it again.

The problem with the new effort system is that when you can just max the points in every stat, it might as well not exist in the first place. It just becomes the same as Base Stats

And they could expand that, like maybe you get a bonus to one stat if you don't max another. Like +attack if you don't max special attack.

Keeping the system simple and transparent is important though I think. I fucking hate the old system and all the autism around hitting certain thresholds.

It's made for a faster paced single player experience. The agile/strong system however has lots of potential for normal battles if done properly.

It's a superior battle system. I personally would prefer ATB, but CBT is still a huge improvement over the stale battle system.

Watch the NPCs uae Agile Style moves. They're pretty much guaranteed to move twice in a row, but you might have every other or every third time using them granting an extra turn. I wish I were exaggerating.

It barely makes sense in single player, so I don't see how they'd apply it to competitive without being extremely transparent about how things work. You can barely try to "set-up" more than 1 turn in advance, because every time the opponent switches out, it feels like a crapshoot regarding who is going to move next, regardless of if you used agile style before they switched, or the speed of either pokemon. There is no deep strategy to this system

Lopunny was 12 levels higher and has 105 base speed. Golem has 45 base speed. Does Kamado have 10 effort levels on Golems speed, and if he did, would that be enough of a difference to make up for 12 levels plus 60 less base speed? I'm open to look at the number but I highly doubt it
