Also it's unfortunately hard to discuss these games because the threads always get derailed but I have no idea why so many people complain about the gen V designs, to me they're quite faithful to the original style, unlike from gen 6 on where they all got very cartoony. The only criticism I think is valid is that they went too far with reproducing all the gen 1 tropes, like how Musharna is supposed to be Hypno and Gigalith is supposed to be Golem etc.
But as far as how many new pokemon are available during the game, and how many are actually usable and not shitmon/eggmon/trade evo these games are unmatched. A lot of replay opportunity with different teams each time.
