SwSh has a Battle Tower, the Restricted Sparring battles, Dynamax Adventures, Card making, following Pokemon, etc. PLA has nothing like that.

Oh I know I'm just saying for some of them i have caught a ton and didn't even realize I did it. I caught them because it's fun, it never feels like a chore unlike basically everything in swsh the other games.

I was worried the pokedex research shit was gonna be annoying but I'm finishing them left and right just playing the game, I haven't gone out of my way to one once.

They don't need gyms to be good because the Mystery Dungeon games are good. But PLA doesn't have even remotely good storytelling so much like Gen VII it suffers from not having gyms.

It's a remake of the only game that had 16 fucking gyms, and the remake had even more content. This is never happening again unless it's another remake of Gen 2. Only a remake of Gen 2 now would come with forced Exp. Share and other kinds of extreme hand holding.

arceus is legit the worst steaming piece of shit of a pokemon game ive played ever
it took me 14 (fourtheen) hours to beat and who thought getting rid of 99% of all the trainer battles was a good idea
the pokemon are just randomly flailing
the ost fucking sucks
the soundfx fucking sucks
pokemon abilities are gone
the battle system sucks, agile/strong would've been fun if it was the old games
its instanced zones when the entire idea was to make an open world pokemon game
no online battling

the only good thing is that overworld battles look good, thats literally the only saving grace
this is a grim start of the new era my man

The biggest difference for me is the last several pokemon games just started to feel like such an insufferable chore as they went on I quit without even finishing them. At no point has this game felt like a chore. I like it. Fuck you.
