>>49493885Nah, the original console release of Dark Souls had tons of slowdown. Actually as someone who has beaten 1 and 3 a huge part of the difficulty comes from bad hitboxes, like getting ganked by enemies who can hit through walls but you're attack won't go through, or your sword making contact with a boss but the hit doesn't register, but somehow you take damage when you're further from the boss than they were from you. I'm starting to think Japan (except for Square Enix and Bamco) can't do action RPGs.
