Second and third rows are pretty funny desu. Second row really does come across as being more akin to parents and children than ancestors. Darach and Gardenia's people truly look like they could be their parents, who simply choose to dress more traditionally. Third row is spot-on. Personalities aside, they really are the same characters in a different art style and outfit. Seems like the character designs in the top row succeed in doing their job by playing with the age and possibly genders of the ancestors. Another well done detail with them is not being too on the nose with elements borrowed from the descendants. Some elements, at least.
On a side note, Buck is implied to be Flint's younger brother, isn't he? Maybe he should go up there with them.
