I've been thinking about this a while. They can make whatever spinoff crap they want and keep everyone happy with just a continuously updated stadium style battle simulator. Everything you mentioned, nice graphics, every mode, ranked and unranked with a customizable trainer and everything. I'd pay 60 dollars for that, I don't need a story, or regions, or any rpg elements, just save that shit for the other games, I just want Pokemon Stadium Switch or whatever, connect it to Home so all Pokemon are allowed at all times, I don't give a fuck, I'll buy dlc shit if I have to whenever they need to add a new batch of Pokemon.

I just don't want to play another 80 hours of cutscenes and a mashing unskippable dialogue with a shitty cringe story made and written for babies ever again. Just give me a hub for all my niggas and let me enter tournaments and shit.

Having a Stadium game be the hub for online battling honestly wouldn't be as convenient as it sounds, you'd have to constantly switch between games and Home when training and building.

It's the exact opposite. It could replace Showdown in a big way and with connectivity to Home it could be the ultimate battling hub that will just stay alive and active until the next version on the next Nintendo console.

I don't know what rock you have been living under, but this is NOT the current system anymore. None of the games in Gen 8 allow you to have all of your Pokemon together in the same game, which is why people are fantasizing about having a Stadium-like hub game for that purpose.

It would be cool if they had things like move tutors so that you could still tweak your Pokemon without having to send them back to their native games. Maybe even add a daycare that lets you breed and raise Pokemon, and a training center to leave them in that raises their EVs.

I think the idea of this thread is proposing the hub game as a solution to the apparent lack of National Dex in future games. Obviously if Gen 9 lets you have everything again, that will be the hub game. But if Gamefreak wants to keep making stuff like Pokemon Legends Arceus, having a compatible Stadium-like game would be a nice compromise. Imagine how great it would be if you could have a game like PLA come out, and then a few weeks or months later the hub game gets updated so you can put your new Kleavor or Basculegion right in with the rest of your team and start battling with them.
