Honestly going back to the old model in gen 9 would he a huge step backwards but i fear its what the franchise is doomed to become.
GF is probably half way in the making on the new generation and who is to say they are using PLA new battle system without being sure it was a hit.
I think we're doomed for another static old model generation and the generation 10 will instead become the new battle system.
