Now that the dust has settled, Sinnoh Chads, did we win? We thought it was over when we got the worst remakes in BDSP, but then we received the best game in the franchise in PLA

Much like HGSS, the game is good in spite of its association with the worst games in the series. Imagine PLA but without the shitty Sinnoh Dex

Compared to ORAS fighting between being Hoenn remakes and its own thing, Sinnoh possibly ushering alot of changes for the series forward is pretty good

What bad games are HGSS associated with? Gen 2 was great, Gen 4 was mostly great, and DS games were great. The spinoffs at the time were also phenomenal. I don't get what you mean; please explain.
