Fucking why? Don’t you fucks wanna experience something new for once? If you’re a compfag then the only way the single player can be challenging with the old mechanics is if they take the challenge hack route of making the games ridiculously demanding forcing players to invest hours into grinding a competitive team to fruition multiple times throughout the game. That shit isn’t fucking enjoyable to 99% of players. Gamefreak did good by making changes, and fuck all of you who think changing anything at all is bad.
