This lead to their kids preparing "I'm so fucking poor and the supply lines are devastated" food as regular ass food. This has led to the countries less affected by WWII to dominate the prepared food market.
In the UK, foreign food is taking over because the average brit doesn't even use salt and pepper and will do shit like boiling vegetables and then discard the water. The only hope is that someone would popularize properly prepared native food. But, even celebrity cheffs have failed to do this. "My mom cooked shitty local food, thereby all local food is shitty" seems to be unshakeable.
