Time distortion zones

How do I find trigger time distortion zones to show up? I just beat the game, and during that whole time I only had 3 show up ever? Also where do I find Darkrai?

You have to wait for a minute or two and then Pokemon start spawning

You need to wait for the event to begin. They don’t start right away. I think that maybe the game was originally planned to be a shared world MMO type game like Destiny because of this.

You gotta stay in them until they actually start, you can get shards, star pieces or stardust with the occasional nuggets, evolution items, and rare pokemon which include, once beating the game, starters

I think the delay is to give you a chance to scope out a good grass spot before you get immediately raped by like 10 Pokemon.

Stay in an area long enough and you'll get the prompt

Respawn times for the distortion are purely random but if you have CFW or an emulator there's a cheat to fix it I believe

You need a save from BDSP I believe

I grab stuff before the spawns start and then run back to the grass spot I found so I can spam ultra balls. The best grass spots are the ones where its half outside so you can leave to de-aggro the Pokemon inside.

Just stay in any of the maps long enough and catch Pokemon and a rift will spawn. It doesn't matter where you go as long as you don't go back to the village

I've been playing the game for 25+ hours and have stayed in one area for as long as 6 hours fucking around and have NEVER seen a "Mass Outbreak". Not a warning, never saw an event, nothing. In fact, the only reason I know about it is because an NPC mentioned mass outbreaks and I only recognized that term from glancing in a /vp/ thread about shiny rates and looked it up afterwards.

Am I just extremely unlucky? I'm already in post-game.
