It happened to me too. I think the images that leaked were bad quality and we didn’t really get a good look at them until we got to that part of the game. Now that I’ve seen them in action I love them very much. It was just shocking at first kinda like Delphox and Inteleon were before we saw the official art that saved them. I imagine once Sugimori’s line art comes out of them we will be happier too.

the only thing I like about Dialga is the helmet thing he has going on. The rest of the design is just a mess. Palkia looks like some kind of centaur thing which is fine but I never liked the original design in the first place

You mongoloids do realize these origin forms are supposed to resemble Arceus but as incomplete versions. If Palkia had arms and Dialga had a proper throat they would have succeeded in becoming arceus like beings. They're incomplete because they failed to become true gods.

I dislike how the entire horse body of this thing is entirely pink with no further details. The tail, hooves and other features look horribly weird without any color to distinguish them. It's almost as if there are some missing textures or they recycled some shitty horse model and made it just pink.

So is Arceus, all three are armless centaurs. Dialgas torso is just too thin so it looks like he has something lodged in his throat when in reality his neck, like arceus is very short and during at the top of a Centaur body that looks like a long neck.
I just don't really get what they were going for with his legs, nor do I really like the bulbous purple cockring on palkia since it looks too much like plasticine

Palkia doesn't look nearly as bad since it retains alot of its detailed, armored appearance
Dialga forgoing its armor, i.e. replacing the silver elements in its design with a silver sheen-line gradient makes it look naked. I get that its neck is supposed to be a combination of Arceus' neck spikes with Dialga's chest armor, except it looks nothing like armor now, and just looks too oddly proportioned as a result.
