I still get irked at the awkward controls and a few cut corners here and there, though I'm overall pleasantly surprised. It talks about death a lot more than I expected from the series, and it's fun guessing ancestors. The character designs are overall quite good (both the ancestor characters and the new designs), and the Pokémon designs look better in practice than they do in a vacuum.
Perhaps I'm too easily entertained, but I've enjoyed playing it so far.
