SwSh is literally only half of a game with half the routes of a normal Pokemon game and the other half of the region is basically locked behind $30 DLC, even though Switch games are already more expensive on release than DS or 3DS games. If it wasn't for Masuda's hard on for "muh 151," preventing you from trading in non-Kanto Pokemon or even evolving happiness evos Golbat or Chansey until the postgame, FRLG really isn't that bad. In fact, Masuda's 151 obsession is also the reason why over 60% of Pokemon in DP are locked behind the postgame and the DP Sinnoh Dex is such shit.
