It’s “capture a waifu simulator” now. There’s a reason why Pokemon has more rule 34 than any other franchise, to the point where Nintendo needed to force paheal to retag it as “porkyman”. It’s not the humans. On
rule34.xxx, there’s an order of magnitude more porn which features mons than there is porn with the human_only tag. Lucario and Gardevoir both individually have more rule 34 than any other character in the series. By designing humanlike mons and fursuit mons, the franchise has attracted an amount of degeneracy the likes of which has never been seen before.
All of this could have been avoided. However, they continue to pander to it. Instead of letting Gardevoir become lost to time, they continue to shill it and present it in promotional material, gimmicks and spin offs. They continue to create pandering mons like Salazzle and Cinderace. They do it because they know coomers are often consoomers too.
If you think I’m being insane, just remember that we’re talking about a wildly money obsessed company here. I think it was Masuda who tried to excuse bad graphics by claiming good graphics would frighten parents, when the obvious reason is just corner cutting. Trying to get coomer cash isn’t beneath them.
