almost always gets you to 7-9 points already, finish it off with either catching 2 more or feeding it a berry

getting 10 points is NOT tedious if you do it right

Not only are you not required to do that for any mon bar a select few for quests, but it's also piss easy to just fill up on other tasks that take way less effort. The ONLY time I found it tedious to fill out a dex page was Cherrim, and that's because it's super rare in the wild and doesn't get Petal Dance until level 47.

Jfc. I am running around completing these tasks because I find it fun. It’s not hard to complete a few tasks. Here is the main issue.

You don’t want to do that.

You want to play a rpg.

You want to battle and become the very best.

This isn’t that game. It’s Pokémon, but it’s not that game. Stop bitching because it’s not the game YOU specifically want.

I’ve personally been dying for something like this. It’s so much fun.

There will be more games that have a focus on battling and competitive. This just isn’t it.

I beat Volo tonight. I never once had to stop what I was doing to further the dex progress/star level. You're supposed to be catching as many as possible as you go along. And for the stars you only need to get them to 10 which you can literally do just by catching them which takes zero effort. You only need to complete the full pages of each for the shiny charm.

I enjoy the process of doing this. it gives me a chance to fuck around in the game more, which is actually nice, because not alot of pokemon games you can fuck around in
for example i was having lots of fun stealing the shellos from the gastradon momma's. just for them to sperg out and me dominate them with my balls.
