Fuck this dinosaur just spent over an hour trying to get a distortion to Spawn and it was more shieldons for the third fucking time how is this fun

I feel your pain, I spent a lot longer than I'd like to admit looking for ninetails, still haven't found a vulpix. I did randomly get a cranidos as well as a shiny dusclops in a coronet highlands distortion field, I was just passing through and found them.

feel lucky you got a cranidos as it doesnt have a guaranteed spawn and sometimes you can go literal hours without a distortion, i went nearly 12 without one and i fucking hated it.

For me it's the opposite, I just need both Shield fossils for dex completion. I dread getting finally getting a distortion and it spawns another Cranidos or just a Bastiodon.

If you have someone you can trade with, every Pokemon you receive adds to "Number caught". Even if it's the same Pokemon back and forth and it has your OT. Good for Shieldon or baby Pokemon if you didn't stuff them with food for the first encounter.

the distortions are a pretty shitty mechanic
it's random when they appear, it's random what you get and if anybody wanted an alpha or shiny of something distortion exclusive like the fossils or starters then that's even more RNG added onto that with no chance of saving because distortions disappear on reload
