i hated irida's character at first but loved how cute she was. after beating the game she really grew on me and i'm glad I picked her + Palkia

I'm not seeing It. They're just all about using their short time in good ways, Arezu and Mai alone should have made that obvious for you. Not to mention Sabi is one of the most fun and best characters in the game. I do really like Irida but most of the pearl clan feel like a bunch of literal whos design wise and they feel like an after thought game freak thought up last second after realizing they were cucking pearl fans.

In terms of tricking you into an ambush and just messing wirh you in general, yeah I thought that was a little annoying. Her being a clairvoyant person was done in an interesting way though. A true one that fakes people into believing she isn't on a whim is a fun twist. Also besides that I don't get why they made the early game pearl wardens so lame unlike Diamond. The ones after the old lady are great for even Pearl.

Also, I didn't like Irida at first, but she feels better ingame.
I thought she was going to be this very serious, emotionless brat with how she was revealed in the teaser. Pleasantly surprised.

I picked the Diamond guy, Irida was a boring character who only showed any glimpses of personality when she was interacting with him. The rest of the time she was just mandatory plot exposition in a pretty package
