It did a soft reboot of the Pokedex as you could only catch Unovamons
It was the first game to have ridiculous amount of hand-holding and interruptions
The only reason people want to blame XY is autism (it's easier to blame the 3DS era) and that it never got a Z version so it was left unfinished
