I've found I can cycle the RNG back around by resting before going back to town if I notice outbreaks are happening more rarely.

Is it worth to catch and release Pokemon for perfect natures?

Cakes are OP, use them.
Mark every wisp you find on each map using one of the markers (not the flag) so when you do cleanup later it's not a pain trying to remember which ones you already found.

If you care about the shiny charm at all, get every pokemon to 10 points/complete status in the dex, especially your starter before evolving it. It's a huge bitch to do later.
Aside from that, catching as much as you can will prevent any rank roadblocks.

From my experience, two things:
- berries boost from orange to yellow catch rate, cakes boost from orange to green
- berries are eaten in 10 “ticks”, cakes last much longer, so easier to sneak around for a back strike

You'll overlevel by a ton if you stick with the same team of six mons. Rotate stuff in and out so you can spread the exp around.

Levels doesn't really matter when a pokemon 10 levels lower than you can still hit you for half your HP with a normal effectiveness move, and an alpha with the same level as you will one shot you even when the attack isn't super effective.

Okay, I'm retarded. I'm following the This mass outbreak shiny chart.

1) Disable autosave
2) travel to the area with the mass outbreak and SAVE there
3) travel as fast as possible to the mass outbreak site especially using braviary so you can see the shinies from overhead without being spotted. If shiny, land and save and catch the shiny. If not shiny, fast travel back to camp, attempt to travel back to jubilife/ancient retreat.
4) See if the mass outbreak is still there.

If there - repeat steps 2-4.
If not - reload your save

So does this mean, travel to the area with the outbreak. Save. Check to see if there's any shinies, if not, return to camp and then go back to jubilife? Then return and save if you still have the outbreak?

Is it possible to just fast travel back to camp and then travel back to the outbreak area and don't save at all?

the outbreak might change to a different mon. if you save, you can reset until it's back to the desired one. I don't know if that's the main reason for it, but it's a reason.

I do not believe it is necessary. However, it is better to save just in case. For example, in the heat of the moment, you forget to save then you accidentally kill the shiny or maybe you fucked up your landing and it runs away. If in those cases your previous save was a different instance of the map you cannot simply reload to try again.

Just a heads up but for outbreak resetting the act of saving when you return from jubilife IS necessary and this has been shown time and time again, with anons resetting for hours for NO REASON because they hadn’t been saving here.
fast traveling resets the map seed but outbreaks are strange and without that save the outbreak seed does not move or change

samurott has water, ice, dark and psychic moves, luxray has crunch, paralyzes and has thunder fang, staraptor has close combat as well as air slash, omimous wind and quick attack, roselia has grass and poison moves + stun spore, rapidash is all fire + hypnosis and hippowdon has steel and ground moves.

You have to close the game after every no shiny
Open game, immediately jubilife and back out and save, check again, and that’s the loop
Saving is an integral part of the loop because if effects the outbreak. It’s not just a failsafe

Youre resetting an outbreak’s spawns right…?
The 12 check method is where you clear 8-9 of the mons in the outbreak so you can see if any are shiny and if not you close the game

You have to go back to jubilife every time you load in to reset the map seed. Currently the exact mechanics of outbreak seeds aren’t known, seems like it could be on a set list of seeds and you must save at the camp every time to keep pushing it forward.

I had a distortion zone appear while I was battling Tornadus.
I chose to prioritize it over Tornadus which was a mistake because it had literally zero rare spawns and Tornadus left at the same time it disappeared.

It's what it sounds like. A small area where space and time is distorted, making items like shards, nuggets, and upgrades appear and pokemon from different times like porygon and cranidos. Be VERY careful inside because the pokemon that spawn there have high levels and appear in groups so you will be fighting 2v1s and 3v1s. You can get a lot of rare things inside though, risk and reward.

after credits you can battle with Irida/Adaman to get the item that changes their forms so you don't need to worry about only getting one or the other - really the only difference is the fight and the ball used to catch

I was trying to farm Alpha Teddisursa and found one alongside random Alpha Kriketot and Croagunk. Then a few mins later had a random Alpha Teddisursa spawn that was next to a fucking Alpha Ghastly and Alpha Traveller at the exact same time.
Then just now trying to farm Goomy I got an Alpha Petitil. When it rains it pours.

Getting a pokemon's dex entry to 10 doubles their shiny odds to 2/4096, and completely filling it out increases it again to 3/4096

Outbreaks buff the odds again while also giving you a bunch of encounters.

someone tested it for several hours by resetting the game with a saved shiny in the outbreak. Didn’t work.
Next test should be resetting with a shiny in the second wave (so something that spawns AFTER you start clearing) and after capturing an alpha in the first wave
Hypothesis is it’s some kind of glitch when you have an alpha in the first batch and a shiny in the second…and it doesn’t even happen every time cus the guy in the video still had to reset until it happened seemingly for no reason

You don't actually side with either clan, both clans support you either way, you just choose whether you want Irida or Adaman to come with you during one of the post game quests. The other one still supports you, they just don't come with you. It changes basically nothing other than which of the two NPCs is standing beside you in certain cutscenes. Whichever NPC you choose, you'll battle their Legendary first and can catch it in any ball you want. The other Legendary will be battled second, and you're forced to use a special red ball on it.

I think the majority of people trying to portray it as "siding with a clan" are probably shills attempting to make it seem like the game has branching stories or an actual faction system, in an attempt to make the game's story sound like it has more depth than it actually has, when really both clans are supporting you either way and you're just choosing which NPC you want to accompany you.

It's weird but it makes sense, Headlong Rush is just Ground-type Close Combat with the same damage and accuracy as EQ, and since there are no attacks that hit multiple opponents in the game EQ would have been totally redundant. Bulldoze is weaker but its added functionality is actually pretty useful.

Do i just travel to crimson mirelands, check the white flower and yellow flower areas where it spawns, and if unsuccessful travel back to village? Does it reset spawns?

There is no difference. I tested it by catching 10 Luxios in the highlands in the same location using the same type of ball (Leaden balls). Releasing them using both methods yielded 10 grit gravel
