There's some good items but as a whole the clothing options in Legends Arceus fucking suck.

Agreed. Best clothing set is the sinnoh set but you can only wear that after you basically 100% the game

Miko outfits even if stylized to pull them away from a “religious” area

They took care in the way they animated the sandals. They have the care to care. So just calibrate that to the clothes and we could get some big pants and long yukata that aren’t jarringly clippy or crunchy

Rigging sandals properly is piss easy. Robes are basically double the work for the player's entire animation set if they want them to not look shit. Given that the game's budget was probably three days worth of Charmander plushie revenue it's not surprising they opted to take the easy way out
