I need this question answered. I got an Alpha Blissey, and for some reason despite its attack stat being around 40, it's absolutely wrecking the shit out of mons with double edge about as much as hyper beam and Blissey's sp atk stat is 4 times higher.. Is there some sort of mechanic that makes attack stats irrelevant or some shit?

Is it not possible to automatically organize your pastures?

Also, apparently you need 2 Pokemon for the farm, regardless of their mixed type. I used an Earth&Water one and the guy still asked for the second Water Pokemon.

This is an autisic question but I'm just about to fight that Arcanine and I have a level 44 Basculin in my team. Obviously this is higher than most fights at this stage, will it continue to level at the same pace as the ones in the early 30s or will they actually catch up to it?

I had an odd glitch on Raminass island where after getting hit by a Shellos my character was able to run faster than Wydeer. Stopped when I hit the water. Anyone else?

Okay so which thrown items are actually worth using other than smoke bombs and oran berries? I basically just stash everything all the time so my inventory isn't cluttered up, but there are so many crafting items I feel like I'm missing out. There's the Sticky Cake for example, and Mud Balls and all that stuff that I never use.

Razz Berries are pretty much a universal (though less potent) cake. I carry a stash of them for Alphas and it's usually a guaranteed capture with a Gigaton Ball.

the only thing i can think is that the alpha blissey started out with attack EVs and the wild pokemon don't have defense EVs. if you really want to check, catch a normal blissey and see what kind of damage both moves do with no EVs applied

Blissey did have 3 Effort points in attack but same with Sp.Atk. Almost have to wonder if Double Edge somehow uses the SP attack stat, because a 44 Atk Stat Double edge shouldn't be cutting Alpha Snorlax's HP in half.

It's pretty self-explanatory. Buffs have been streamlined into offensive and defensive. They don't stack and have a limited duration. No speed buffs because you'd be able to just totally annihilate the turn order.

Yes.

Not enemy speed as far as I'm aware, but moves will affect the turn order of the user(priority moves increase it, hyper beam decreases it)
>Can buffs stack?
No, but they only stick for a few turns. You can use the move multiple times and it'll refresh the counter.
Same for statuses, they wear off after a little while.

I know theres at least one that does. Maybe more. I dont feel like booting up Yuzu to check it but its some sort of rock mode my Garchomp has that reduces enemy speed.

In addition to moves having their own speed values there are some like Bulldoze that specifically make the opponent move slower, which is reflected in the turn order.

Base rate is the same. There are ways to increase it, but just the nature of the game itself makes them more common. More Pokemon being generated = more dice being rolled.

Since Gigaton and Jet Balls are pretty much the best version of their PokeBall type, I pretty much only craft and use them after I unlocked them.
My question is do you guys also stop making/using Great Balls once you unlock Ultra Balls (other than for aesthetic reasons)?
Currently debating whether it's worth it to use the resources to make Great Balls when Ultra Balls does a way better job, and the requirement on which to use on which mon for the optimal outcome is pretty vague in the first place, unless someone already did a calculation on which level range is optimal to use Great or Ultra Balls to catch wild mons.

Sometimes an Ultra Ball is overkill.
Truthfully, I've been catching anything possible in just regular pokeballs. The catch rate is high enough in this game that the only time I've needed anything else is when something is too far for me to reach it.

I got a shiny from an outbreak, leaving 4 mons behind. I saved, returned to Jubilife and the outbreak was still there. I went back and there still were only 4 mons left. Are they still being rerolled?

Yes they reroll you’ll be able to catch up to 4 more shinies if you keep going and yes you can get a shiny alpha from an outbreak or randomly in overworld in general it’s just extremely rare
If alpha is 1% and shiny is 1/158 the “chances” of a shiny alpha are something like 1/15800..I think…

strong style vs. agile style doesn't exist, so those evos can't happen. That one's a bit flimsy, but it does still play into the idea that the cultures of the past are ephemeral and we lose a lot of things when we progress.

Max out all stats, defense is important. Go for maximum coverage and STAB, it's super effective or bust. Status effects are completely worthless with the exception of Paralysis. All pokemon are viable though, so use who you like.

The difficult fights are trainer battles or ones where you're fighting multiple opponents at once. Speed is an important stat since you can get multiple turns in a row. Having some bulk is good too against trainers, because usually when you knock out one, the next one gets to attack you first. Crobat is ridiculously good now. There aren't abilities and the movepool is simplified, so some of them really miss out on what made them really good before. Like Scizor doesn't have Technician and can't learn Roost. If they do DLC or an expansion, it'll probably be one new zone with a side story and some more side quests. It'll have some new things to catch. Hopefully they'd put in something like the Battle Tower so you have something to do with your team once it's fully set up.

The game doesn’t tell me the numbers past Machoke. It gives me the numbers 78/79 in the middle, for example, which is why I know it’s Aipom. But it doesn’t fill in grey slots past your highest numerical number.
So as far as I know, they could be any two from between Chatot (157) to Darkrai (242). I could narrow it down to evolution lines of one and two, and ignore the last 7 or so since its definitely not the big legends and probably not mythics, but that doesn’t help much.

You could always just assume I’m not a retard, and have actually bothered to look a bit, before responding with “check da OP”

Nah, there's about a dozen or so rare spawns. Baby Pokemon like Pichu, Munchlax, Bonsly, Happiny, Elekid, and Magby can be hard to track down, and some Pokemon only spawn in distortions which seem to spawn at random. I'd still say none are quite as hard to find as Cherubi since they're in such specific locations.

So, with outbreaks you can catch up to 15 ‘mons before the outbreak subsides, right?
Does that mean if I catch 5 ‘mons, then return to Jubilife, and come back to the outbreak, there will only ever be ten more ‘mons to catch. Or would it refresh back to 15 in this case?

Do you miss out on moves if you evolve Pokémon too late?
I always thought Kirlia got some new move at 20, but I just evolved my Ralts at 24 and there are no additional moves in the move list

I think the mon was lvl 65 or something, maybe I'm wrong.

If you have decent mons with good stats it should be a breeze at lvl 60.

Most evos actually learn moves at the same level in this game. Ralts/Kirlia both learn Hynosis at L18 and Calm Mind at L25.

How do I speed up Space-Time Distortions? I've been walking around beating/catching mons for around an hour now and they just don't come. Some videos say you speed them up by fighting, some by catching mons, some by completing research tasks and Serebii says there's no way to speed them up.
