Adaman is fucking great and since having him around for that part is really the only change, I'd definitely pick him.
On the other hand, Ingo, Palina etc. seem like much better written underlings than Irida. Kind of wish we could actually join either team during game and have more interactions between clans.

Which final boss do you want to fight, Cock Horse Palkia or Butt Plug Dialga? Pick Diamond for the former and Pearl for the latter. That’s really the only difference, you get both of them and the transformation items in both routes.
