This is my plan for when I actually have time for it, at least. All new Pokemon, no type overlaps, should be able to cover at least one attack of all 18 types.

Of course, it might all change if there's DLC or something before I actually can play.

From what I understand you may not be able to force it but the chances of one developing reroll either after a set amount of time or after completing Pokédex tasks/gathering materials/fighting/catching Pokémon and alphas. Basically, active gameplay. If you don’t get one in an hour of play leave and come back.

This was my team going into the end of the game. Lilligant and Zoroark were underleveled because I added them late, but the other four were strong enough on their own. Ursaluna in particular was a beast.

I did nothing but waiting on Wyrdeer and always got distortion within 15-40 minutes every time I enter one of areas. In my experiences battling pokemon seem to stop/prolong the time it take for distortions to spawn.
Basically the best thing is just chilling around in the area until distortion appear.

Apparently, they're all based on yokai or oni designs. They're apparently not completely random and ugly for no reason. I really should have saved the post, but someone broke down the design inspirations for each of the new mons and it all made total sense.

I wish I had been able to add Braviary to the team sooner. Everyone else was on my team for so long he feels like a late addition.
Almost went with Zoroark instead but the psychic flying coverage with access to mystical fire has been great I love this final squad.

I've reached the point that I'm upkeeping an entire box's worth of Pokemon at minimum on pace to participate in the main plot. But these 5 are definitely going to be there for the plot's finale.

Not sure who my number 6 is gonna be yet. Might be Overqwil because I love Johtomons, might not be a new Pokemon, not sure.
Don't love Johtomons enough to include Sneasler, though lmfao.

Really happy with how this all came together. Two normal Mons, two shinies and two alphas. I've just got Sneasler so now I'm focusing on trying to get them all in the same level as they took a backseat while I spent time getting the team captured. Will evolve to Kleavor around Level 40 and Ursaluna at 45. Just evolved Typhlosion and need a Sun stone.

Just beat Volo and Giratina, took me 3 tries, probably the hardest battle in a mainline game yet. Goodra and Garchomp saved my ass, Goodra especially for not getting one shot by Giratina.
