You have to understand that Game Freak has made over 1000 Pokémon, both species and forms such as regionals, and each Pokémon had to be designed, programmed and rigged with animations. SWSH was the game where each of the models got updated HD textures and unique animations for battle and camp. Hundreds of Pokémon, many of whom had gender or form differences, and the scale is well over 1000. Add the human characters and the models of various items such as buildings, and you realize how big of a scope SWSH had to deal with. Pokémon is juggling with so much at once and the Dexit is the price for having constant releases. Otherwise, we would get every Pokemon but a new game every 4-5 years. The Pokemon brand feeds on constant updates to survive. It is a merchandising brand that uses video games on the side to stay relevant.
