Not him but no, there isn't. It's exactly like the professor talking to you in the limbo, welcoming you to the world of pokemon, asking your name, gender and appearance. It's just a narrative device. Since you don't remember anything then it's clear Arceus erased your memory, but there are many dialogs in game that it's implied you mention that you come from a world where people and pokemon live together.
