I liked USUM. XY was the start of the decline but Gen 8 is when it hit rock bottom. PLA is bringing the series back on track by innovating in areas where SwSh should have but didn't.

when they were stat-ing the new monsters, most of them werent even competitively viable or fun to use, and we ended up using the old ones instead. they really fucked up with Vikavolt who is slow for some reason, then we get something like Oricorio who doesnt learn its signature move fast enough and has nothing good before
