Theyre intended to make exploring more challenging because theyre agressive. Just saying theyre bosses is not a good point, raid bosses and field bosses serve different purposes. Swsh also has its own field bosses which would serve as a better point of comparison but you selectively forgot about them for your shit bait thread. The raid bosses in swsh are there for extra online content, theyre completely optional and you can go through the whole game without ever having to encounter them, save for a few story moments.
