>>49576019In modern times I would agree that they give her a small team (4 pokemon) in exchange for developing the personality of her pokemon as characters, but only Psyduck has presented this (And at the cost of generalizing the species as happened with Meowth and Ditto) Togepi was a generic baby character (the same for Azurill), her Gyarados despite being my favorite has zero personality, her Goldie, Horse and Starmie are forgotten, Staryu and Politoed had potential, but the writers didn't know how to work with them.
On the other hand, a character like Iris, whose team I never liked, had pokemon with well-defined personalities. Except the mole.
